Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort

HiltonHawaiianVillageReviewWe spent one week at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resortand it was fabulous! It is truly a vacation village with everything you need to have a good time. There are pools, restaurants, stores, sports activities and of course, the OCEAN!

Yes, the village includes a Louis Vuitton store and many other options

Lodging

There are different towers at varying price points. The Ali’I Tower is the premiere luxury tower, but the others are nice, too. We stayed in the Diamondback Tower and it reminded me of a traditional Hilton room.

One of the many tropical fish ponds near hotel towers.

You’ll be comfortable here, but if you want an ocean view be sure to say that. I had an ocean view… if I sat sideways on my patio, :-).

There are also timeshare towers for members and they are very nice! Very.

Each morning I enjoyed getting a smoothie at the Lanikai Juice bar. You could tell the fruit was fresh, especially the pineapples. In fact, the fresh pineapples were almost my favorite thing about Hawaii, :-).

Things to Do

When you’re in Hawaii and your hotel is oceanfront, spending time in the water, laying by the water and relaxing with a view of the water are some of the best ways to spend your time. Hilton Hawaiian Village makes it easy for you to do all of this. You can rent chairs, umbrellas and sports equipment. You can take surfing lessons (Hubby did this!) or you can rent one of the water bikes for the lagoon.

Ours was a couple’s trip, but when we return, I know my kids are going to love the lagoon. I love the idea of a water spot that doesn’t evoke fears of them drowning and that encourages free play.

There are a number of pools and one includes the longest waterslide in Waikiki.

I also loved that they offered morning activities for adults, like tai chi, yoga and hula aerobics. If you are traveling with kids, check out Camp Penguin. Every time I passed it, the children looked like they were having a great time.

Summary

Overall, you will not be disappointed with a stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The service was great, you can decide to do a lot or nothing, and the location is prime for doing other things on Oahu. In the same area are some of the best restaurants, including Roy’sand Orchids. You can also walk to shopping areas and nightlife.

Enjoy your trip!
